Plant milk is a general term for any milk-like product that comes from a plant source. There is no formal or legal definition for this product, of which the most common variety is soy milk, but we discourage its consumption since this crop is causing several damages to health and the environment. There are a number of reasons for consuming non-dairy milk, including lactose intolerance, religious beliefs, taste preference, veganism, and a desire to avoid animal milk.

Vegetable milks. Use as a substitute for cow's milk in different recipes and preparations:
Cakes and desserts:
The one that I recommend as a substitute in desserts and preparations in general is Oat milk, although those with dried fruits such as Almonds or Walnuts are also suitable. Oats have a very good consistency for creams and desserts in general and also does not greatly alter the main flavor of the preparation in question.
Coffee / Tea / smoothies with milk:
I highly recommend almond milk or oat milk, although the others can be used, but the fact is that some flavors can be stronger than the taste of the tea or coffee in question. But as the saying goes: there is nothing written about tastes, so try your favorite vegetable milk in the infusions that you usually drink and make the changes that you like (consistency, quantity) to continue enjoying your favorite drinks.
Duration and recommendations:
Plant milks, being a 100% natural product without preservatives, their duration is limited and depends on the ingredients used (for example, with sweeteners it can last less), their freshness, the purity of the water used, and how are preserved.
The average duration is about 2 to 3 days (although they can last a few more days), well covered in a bottle in the refrigerator, preferably glass, although in plastic bottles they also keep well.
Since vegetable milks settle after being prepared, it is always suggested to stir the preparation before serving, in this way it will be preserved and the content will be better used.
